Graphic Facilitator

I developed my skills as a graphic facilitator whilst working as a senior manager in health and social services.

As a planner facilitating meetings I started to use large sheets of paper to draw out a teams ideas onto a wallchart, the meetings became alive and teams worked more creatively.

I was so impressed with how using visual displays helped to resolve complex organisational issues that I decided to develop and refine my use of the process further.

Ten years ago I set up Don Braisby Associates which has enabled me to work as an independent facilitator. In this role, I have worked in Europe and the United States assisting a variety of businesses and human service agencies. I am particularly interested and experienced in organisational development and managing change through Large Group Process.

My recent work has included:

• Facilitating project management teams and groups looking at environmental problems
• Developing effective communication systems within organisations and across teams
• Working with teams managing change
• Evaluating outcomes for service users and other stakeholders
• Developing policies and strategies for managing risk
• Developing strategies for organisations to gather and respond appropriately to stakeholder feedback
• Facilitating organisations to establish their values, vision, mission and organisational objectives
• Establishing quality measures based on organisational values and mission statements.
• Participating in the design and planning of whole systems events (Open Space & Real time System Change).
